How are bodies depicted in games and what roles do diversity, sexuality and gender play in the depictions? How realistic should the depiction of the game figures be (i.e. Motion Capturing)? And, in this regard, how have players’ expectations changed over the years? How are mental and physical illnesses represented in games?
These and further related questions are the focus of Conference Day 2 Under the title „Bodies in Games“ themes that deal with the depiction of and the role of the body in games will be discussed. Speakers from different disciplines (Game Development, Media Pedagogy, Research and Journalism) will introduce interdisciplinary approaches to this theme.
