Matthias Löwe

Matthias Löwe is engaged in workshops, talks and festivals in association with the Initiative Creative Gaming to establish an artistic and creative use of games. As an interaction designer, he is researching playful interaction / procedural rhetoric and was building little robots with the Design Research Lab at the University of Arts Berlin in cooperation with Telekom Innovation Laboratories. Furthermore, he is staging analog gamejams and game-culture events with the team from Gamestorm Berlin and is an active member of  A MAZE., where he co-organised the first European and the first African indie games festival and presents the regular Night of Machinima in a small theater. After co-ordinating the first German Code Week, he now organizes the Code Week Award with Samsung Electronics GmbH and the Technologiestiftung Berlin in co-operation with the Design Research Lab Berlin.

At PLAY15, Matthias and Valentina curate the exhibition. A few of his personal video game highlights are Jurassic Park: Trespasser, Mass Effect, and Psychonauts.
