Matthias Kempke is author and game designer at Daedalic Entertainment in Hamburg, a video game developer and publisher that is specifically known for its adventures like Deponia and Edna bricht aus.

Matthias started as indie developer while he studied Japanology and wrote, drew and scripted his own adventures “What Makes You Tick” and “What Makes You Tick: A Stitch in Time”. After his studies he pitched his fairy tale adventure “The Night of the Rabbit” at Daedalic where he worked for more than six years, for instance as creative lead and author for the adaptation of Ken Follett’s “The Pillars of the Earth”. Now he is a freelance developer and works on narrative serious games.
