Alexander Merbeth

Alexander Merbeth was born in Karlsruhe and studied acting in Hamburg until 2007. Here, he also studied film from 2012-2016 at the HFBK.
He is an actor for theatre, film and TV, member of the cobratheater.cobra collective and voice actor for audio drama and video games.

He received all his English language skills in 1998, when his class mate Michael B. lend him an imported version of ‘Final Fantasy 6′.
Unfortunately, this is also where he got his English prinunciation.
While writing this text, he holds a coffee in his hands, ‘Dragon Quest XI’ is playing in the background.
He has to continue now.

Aljoscha Jelinek is an author. After writing several short stories, he wrote dialogues for the adventure “The Night of the Rabbit”.

At the moment he is writing graphic novels. Aljoscha works as a freelance teacher and editor in Hamburg.

Andrea Sievers is a freelance media educator and journalist from Hamburg. In 2005, she founded the children media project Radiofüchse. She leads media pedagogical radio, radio play, internet and cartoon projects for various organisations in Hamburg. Her main interest is to encourage children to voice their opinions publicly by means of creative media usage.

Moreover, she writes articles for the media magazine SCOUT. She also wrote about PLAY for www.wir-machen-kinderseiten.de.

Her favorite digital game is Snake.

Andreas Gaschka

Born in the early 80s Andreas Gaschka grew up drawing all day and created his first animated films shooting stop motion Lego with his parents HI8 camcorder. In 2010 he graduated with a diploma in Media Design from University of Applied Sciences Mainz with a major in animation. Now he lives in Hamburg/Germany where he works as a freelance art director for animation.

In 2016 he cofounded Supyrb, an independent game studio, which is about to release its debut game “Marbloid” this winter. “Marbloid” is a 3D tilt & tap marble runner for iPhone and iPad set in a colourful Vaporwave world.

While her fellow students invested their pocket money in Panini stickers, she saved her money for vinyls and now has an accorsdingly large collection. Apart from being at the turntables, she studied musicology and was a bass player for various bands touring through Europe. As she got to know artists from all kinds of directions, she does not want to settle on one genre, but claims that there is good music in every genre, as long as it makes people smile and dance.

Carola Veit was born in Hamburg and is a registered jurist. Since 1991 she is member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). She is vice-chairperson of SPD Hamburg-Mitte. Moreover, she is a member of the labor union ver.di, the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and the FC St. Pauli among others.

Since March 2004 she is a member and since 2011 president of the Hamburgische Bürgerschaft.

Christian Schiffer works for ARD and Deutschlandfunk. Moreover, he is co-founder and publisher of the computer game magazine WASD. In 2016, Schiffer attended to the German debate revolving around “Killerspiele” (violent video games) in form of various TV-documentaries, for which he was nominated for the Grimme-Preis.

In August 2018 his first book, which he had written with Christian Alt, was published: “Angela Merkel ist Hitlers Tochter – im Land der Verschwörungstheorien” (Angela Merkel is Hitler’s Daughter – In the Land of Conspiracy Theories).

Christina Metzler holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Hamburg with a chosen focus on media education. Since 2016, she has been working as freelance media educator and started as a contract teacher at the University of Hamburg in summer semester 2019.

Her favorite games mostly consist of strategy and role-playing games like “Age of Empires”, “Stronghold”, “Gothic” and “The Elder Scrolls”. Games that can fill many hours. Now and then, when there’s not much time during everyday life, she also likes to play jump’n’run games.
