Aki Järvinen

Aki Järvinen is a game industry veteran with a design background. His academic credentials include a PhD on the systemic and emotional aspects of games, titled Games without Frontiers: Theories and Methods for Game Studies and Design. Currently Aki leads development teams at Playdemic, a mobile game studio in the UK, while honing his hobbyist programmer skills for more experimental side projects. His favorite video game is Shadow of the Colossus.

As the initiator and spokesperson of the Initiative Creative Gaming Andreas Hedrich has been pleading for the creative use of video games since 2006. He is also a member of the Executive Board of Mediennetz Hamburg e.V (Media Network Hamburg), a member of jaf e.V (Association for media education in Hamburg), spokesman for the GMK Landesgruppe Hamburg, Shareholder of the Media Agency Frische Medien, Project Manager of Computerspiel Schule Hamburg (Video Games School Hamburg) and many other media educational projects in Hamburg and Germany. He is also a lecturer at the HAW – University of Applied Sciences Hamburg and at the University Hamburg at the Faculty of Education where he teaches media literacy and media education. Concerning PLAY15 Andreas is responsible for the overall coordination and the management.

Anne Sauer

Anne Sauer is a media pedagogue at outermedia. She is an editor and does conceptional work for spielbar.de. She is responsible for media pedagogical workshops with children, teenagers and adults.

At PLAY15 Anne is a member of the jury for the Creative Gaming award and leads workshops.

8-Bit Noisepunk coming from the Gameboy, distorted bass-sythesizer and vocoder voices combined with live drumming of the more aggresive kind. Back to Newc45tle mingles chiptunesounds with hypnotizing synthesizersounds and chimes. A meandering sound experience without interruption and with even less compromises. Until now unexplored soundworlds unfold itself. This is accentuated by visual pixelcoloured silhouettes and psychedelic-like patterns from modified game consoles. In other words: get ready for an extraordinary live-experience.

Christian is maker through and through. If he is not creating something new, you will find him equipped with soldering iron and wire cutters in his workshop. Next to his activities at Gamestorm Berlin and his study in productdesign at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, he is working at the Design Research Lab of the University of Arts Berlin.

Christiane Schwinge

Christiane Schwinge studied education, psychology and sociology. After her studies, she worked at several media pedagogical research projects. Currently, she is a network coordinator at the project BBS futur 2.0. Ever since her studies, she works as a freelancer in diverse fields of media education. As a member of jaf – Verein für medienpädagogische Praxis Hamburg e. V. as well as co-initiator of the Initiative Creative Gaming she is mainly involved in action-oriented projects about media literacy.

Togehther with Vera Marie Rodewald she is responsible for the art direction of PLAY15. Furthermore she is accountable for the PLAY-Conference. Her favourite games are B.U.T.T.O.N and Octodad, because they are equally stupid, funny and unplayable.
